Abstract

European Political Cooperation (EPC) can be analyzed from various perspectives: its specific contents, its results and the impact it has had on contemporary international relations can be evaluated. In this sense, it is interesting to know if it has managed to configure its own and common option for its members in the topics it has developed and if that option has had weight and influence on the evolution of those topics. On the other hand, it is also possible to analyze the nature of the decision-making process of the EPC, the specificity of its structures and the relationships it has established both with the European Community and with the national policies of the member countries. For the purposes of this work, which aims to analyze the EPC as an instance of coalition of the foreign policy of a group of like-minded countries, this second dimension receives more attention.
