This issue of the Journal of International Studies culminates thirty years of valuable work by Professor Luciano Tomassini, not only as its Director, but also as a promoter of initiatives designed to permanently ensure the quality of its content and its presentation. The board of the Institute of International Studies of the University of Chile wishes to acknowledge its debt of gratitude to Professor Tomassini for his contribution to the well-earned prestige of the Journal and is pleased to continue to count on his collaboration as a columnist. As of the next issue, Mr. José Rodríguez Elizondo, with a well-known and extensive career in literature, law and diplomacy, will be in charge of the Journal.
