Abstract

In Chile and Latin America we have had a particular difficulty in taking charge of reality as it is. The first thing we must do is recognize that globalization is a fact, a reality that is here to stay. Based on this observation, we can then ask ourselves what are the characteristics of Chilean foreign policy in the era of globalization. How to position ourselves in the face of this phenomenon, based on the peculiarities of our country and our region? It is the question that we ask ourselves in this work, based on a reflection on the phenomenon of globalization itself, to then ask ourselves about the objectives, principles and priorities of Chilean foreign policy.
