Resumen
En Die Sache selbst (PhG, pp. 333 ss.), Hegel expone la pretensión de un individuo racional según la cual puede expresar su propia “naturaleza en el obrar” (Siep, 2015, p. 161). Esta es entendida por el individuo en función de su fidelidad a un estado mental interno al agente; esta posición ha sido llamada “compatibilismo” (Pippin, 2008, p. 148). No obstante, Hegel sostiene que la causa de dicha acción no puede ser realmente fiel a su naturaleza a menos que el individuo sea consciente de su contexto social.
