Threats without borders: new peripheries in the movement of people

Abstract

This article deals with migration in a triple perspective: (I) the acceleration of the moving processes of population regarding the economic globalization, and under the concept of human security; (II) the historical relevance of the population moving processes in bordering regions of Chile’s neighbor countries; (III) the analysis of the norms about offering to leave Chile to inmates accused of drug trafficking, who are citizens of neighbor countries.
