This article is dedicated to develop one of the basal principles of modern constitutional Rule of Law, through a judgment of our Constitutional Court: the principle of reasoned deference. This principle is articulated from various keystones such as the autonomy of the legislature, the legitimacy of parliament, the separation of public service and constitutional rules that govern the legislative process, all of which are manifested as an expression of this principle and to which should be subject the bodies responsible for monitoring the constitutionality of the law.
