Abstract

It is not easy for the Byzantine case the distinction between spiritualpower and earthly power. The gap between them is so narrow that the analysisof political phenomena is difficult: the Church and the State argue both thebody and soul of a society. Understanding the political phenomenon particularlyByzantine, to avoid anachronistic interpretations and judgments requires carefulreview of the sources, within which the works of Eusebius of Caesarea and"Prince Mirrors" are references to extraordinary scientific value.
