Síndrome de Burnout en estudiantes de medicina: revisión bibliográfica

Resumen

El síndrome de burnout ha sido definido como una respuesta al estrés laboral crónico hacia el propio rol profesional. Esta respuesta ocurre con frecuencia en los profesionales de la salud y, en general, en profesionales de servicios sociales que trabajan en contacto directo con personas, estando altamente representado en el equipo de salud, desde el inicio de la formación, postulándose que podría originarse desde la escuela de medicina. Este síndrome se ha caracterizado en tres dimensiones: el agotamiento emocional, la despersonalización y la falta de realización personal. Como consecuencia, se generarían una serie de conductas negativas, como el deterioro del rendimiento, la pérdida de responsabilidad y de motivación, y actitudes pasivo-agresivas con los pacientes, y con la propia persona.
