The sertanejo is a musical genre marked for decades by the predominance of male singers, as well as songs that reinforce the patriarchal system and the objectification of women under male vision. However, in the last decade, the presence of women singers has emerged in the aspect that became popularly known as "feminejo", that is, the sertanejo carried out and sung "by and for women". During this discussion, we aim to discuss how the songs present in feminejo have approached discourses related to feminism, in the sense of subverting or reverberating the sexist-patriarchal system. To do so, anchored in Feminist Studies and Gender Studies, we analyzed two songs by singer Marília Mendonça (1995-2021), namely: Supera (2019) and Você não manda em mim (2021). The results showed that the compositions transit between the concepts of sorority, female empowerment, and destabilization of the idea of male domination.
