The present paper discusses the concept of organizational culture and its assessment. A questionnaire that measures organizational values and behavioral norms is presented, together with its application to a sample of 38 Chilean organizations. The results were used to identity independent dimensions for both behavioral norms and organizational values. Two approaches to the interpretation of results provided by the questionnaire are compared; namely: on the basis of raw scores, and through statistical norms obtained from the sample. Finally, a discussion of the psychometric properties of the questionnaire is presented.
