La interpretación evidencial de estar con predicados de individuo. Fundamentos y desafíos

Resumen
En varios trabajos recientes se ha defendido que la combinación de la cópula estar con un predicado de individuo (Individual-Level Predicate; Pi) origina un desajuste semántico entre los requisitos aspectuales de esta cópula (que transmite la presuposición de que la predicación está vinculada a una situación espaciotemporalmente acotada) y el carácter no acotado de los Pi. Este desajuste se resuelve interpretativamente por la acomodación inferencial de una situación de adquisición de información de experiencia directa. Esta propuesta puede suscitar algunas preguntas adicionales: preguntas sobre cómo y por qué la solución evidencial repara el desajuste; cuál es el estatuto de los contenidos evidenciales; a qué nivel de representación contribuye el contenido evidencial; y cómo es posible que un predicado de individuo aparezca junto a un evidencial de experiencia directa. En este trabajo se ofrecen datos, pruebas y argumentos para responder a estas preguntas. La interpretación experiencial nace de un requisito semántico que impone una particular geometría de situaciones conectadas, pero no idénticas. El contenido evidencial se comporta como una presuposición que contribuye al contenido explícito del enunciado. Y la predicación de individuo mantiene sus características aspectuales porque no forma parte de la situación anclada. De esta manera se muestran las potencialidades explicativas de la hipótesis del desajuste de rasgos.Palabras clave:
